Your certification is in your results

One of Jesus's selfless actions was when he took water and a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet

His simple message is to always serve

This is the greatest life lesson to date

For you to achieve success, you must be ready and willing to serve

We have so many people with academic papers but unable to understand what the knowledge they acquired means

We have people in public offices who feel entitled just because they secured the spots

We have many calling themselves professional but with nothing to show for it

It is a tragedy to be knowledgeable with no purpose or the spirit to serve

A few years ago, a local gym organized for a hike

It was quite an adventurous hike with several hills and just like a marathon there were those leading, some in the middle trying to catch up and some dragging behind perhaps didn’t make it to the end but a wonderful experience in the end

I was lucky to be among those who were ahead and the last hill we were to climb was sloppy and thick and as we followed through, the paths to the top disappeared.

We each even had a walking stick to help us navigate through and at some point we would pause for those ahead to clear the paths for us to go through

They had to first go ahead and look through which routes were viable and create one  

Remember all along we’ve been walking with some already giving up and resting as they wait for those behind them to catch up

The guys leading us would ideally be exhausted the most but here they are at work trying to make a way, a clear path to make it easier for those behind them

It is at that moment that I learn a very invaluable lesson in life

Those behind had it easy and probably to date have no idea what happened

Those who dare to serve and make a difference in truth and with good intentions wait for no one to clap for them but they do it because that is what to serve calls for

There exist people who are behind you in life, waiting for you to just take a step, clear a path, take an action or say a word

You don’t need to be an expert

you just need to be a step ahead and do the right thing
